Hello!
This post is dedicated to the wonderful people who thought that my prose is worth a second glance, and bestowed upon me compliments in the form of nominations for the Versatile Blogger Award.
I’ve received nominations from these amazing people:
Title Screen – In the midst of writing a novel.
An Aging gamer – Got bitten by on the head by a kid when he was about 7.
V – The one who finds Game of Thrones hilarious.
John Heatz – Who, totally like me, has a huge library of games he never plays.
GameBlogGirl – Who’s addicted to drinking sparkling Mineral water.
Please click on the links to their blogs above. They’re worth a read! Shower their site with hits as part of my gratitude! 😀
Also, I reckon the auto-pingback thing is not working. I only found out that I was nominated by some of you guys when I dug through your archives/WP Reader – if I missed out anyone, let me know!

The rules for the award are as follows:
- You must thank the person who gave it to you, and include a link to their blog.
- You must then select fifteen blogs that you’ve recently discovered or regularly follow, and nominate them for the award.
- Finally, you must tell the person who nominate you seven things about yourself.
1) I had a huge phobia of dogs due to my traumatic childhood experience of being chased by 3 adult Rottweilers.
2) In my adolescence I have developed a kind of Death Stare that was very efficient in keeping dogs at bay.
3) And on at least one occasion, it made a toddler burst into tears.
4) I decided to stop doing it after. (Back to the facts!)
5) I drink neither coffee or tea. Not even alcohol. I’d take juice anytime, though.
6) I’ve never been drunk my entire life, never gone to clubs or bars.
7) Because I’m strangely allergic to the smell of cigarettes. Yeah.

My nominations are…
VALOURBÖRN: Really lovely stories. I’ve said this more than once; but this is one of the few blogs I make a mental note to check regularly for new posts. Also, she’s participating in NaNoWriMo2013.
Murf vs Internet: A lot of great stories and even poetry! Worth a read whether you are a geek or not.
Button Smashers Blog: The Button Smashers family is a pretty cool editorial team, but don’t forget to check out their podcasts!
The archaeology of Tomb Raider: An awesome blog that is more than your regular Tomb Raider fan sites. Check it out for real life archaeology facts and pictures oriented around the Tomb Raider series.
Why Would You Buy?: Flustered about a certain game on sale, not knowing whether you should desecrate your wallet further? Check out this site for some insights!
Caught Me Gaming – A curiously awesome game review blog with a strange list of games. Not exactly the obscure, but not over-hyped titles would be found here. Very interesting. 😀
Eimzpink : the journey of a leaving cert student, with some really fantastic poems and excerpts of her work.
Astro Adam: Someone I can identify with. He loves gaming and talking about them in general. Hit that link!
Ms Rhiosace: The journey of a female gamer who currently works with NHS. Worth a read whether you’re serious about gaming or not.
8 bit chimp: Describes itself really well: “Bananas for gaming!”. That 8 bit chimp artwork really rocks too.
Screen Companion: A blog on popular culture and new media from a Norwegian student studying journalism .
Bill Allin: Turning it Around – I have learnt a lot from this man. He’s like that wise old villager chief that I never had, because I don’t live in a village. But he’s still wise, though.
The WineWankers: I don’t drink wine, but at least now I don’t have to sulk in a corner whenever the conversation topic swerves in that direction! :p Thanks a bunch, guys!
Food and Games: Vegan Recipes and occasional video game chitchats. If I were to ever enter the kitchen, it’s going to be Chernobyl#2.
TwinStick Gaming: I really like the reviews here; they’re long but definitely in-depth. You can trust this guy!

Sadly, I could only nominate 15 of you. I’ve got a few more I’d love to put up, but I’ll save you for the next award! 😉 You can also check out my previous nominations here and here. Also, a lot of you already have a huge stack of award nominations on your site – so I skipped on you guys as well. Deal with it, popular people! 😀
Thanks for reading!
Thanks so much for the nomination! I discovered your blog after seeing a link to your article, Designing Good (Female) Characters on Twitter. Good to see that the gaming world is beginning to take female gamers and female game characters seriously…though, frankly, as long as a game’s good, I’m not too bothered about whether I’m playing as a man, woman or non-human..
Keep up the awesome work! 🙂
Your welcomed! Hahaha! I found your blog after seeing JohnHeatz’s #FF on twitter. It’s really an eye opener(/candy). Thank you for reading 😀 and I hope you’d never give up on blogging!
Aw thank you so much! 😀 I really love reading your blog. Congratulations on your own nomination! 😀
Thank you! 😀 Looking forward to see your own nominations!
Awh Thanks so much 😀 haha ^.^
😉 Well deserved.
Thanks for the nod, and for this huge list of nominations. I’ll spend the next hour sorting through them all!
You’re welcomed! 😀
[…] I’d like to thank the bloggers who nominated me for this award: Kevin Kutlesa, PP1MT of The Pew Pew Diaries, John Heatz, and the awesome folks over at 1001-Up.Com. Be sure to check out their blogs and if […]
Thanks for nominating me, and your kind words!! 😀
Grats to you, as well!
You deserved every bit of it! 😀
Aw, thanks! You’re so kind 😀 😀
Congrats, and glad to see I’m not the only one who hates dogs and abstains from booze/coffee. My dog hate stems from been bitten while trying to feed my aunt’s dog an ice cube (hey, I was 5). And a couple years ago while I was studying abroad in Ireland, I got chased across a sheet of ice by three farm dogs. “Man’s best friend”? You’ve got the wrong guy.
Lmao! I count myself lucky to never have been bitten – some of those “friends” can get too close for comfort. 😡 Cats over dogs any day!
Congrats on all your nominations, well deserved! And thank you so much for nominating us too. I’m glad you read us even if it is just to be able to join in on conversations! 🙂 Cheers!
Thank you! Haha, You guys have been a great help – I would have been made a fool at parties otherwise. 😀
Thank you very much for the nom! Looking forward to more of your posts, and looking through the other sites you’ve reccomended.
You’re welcomed – you deserved it! 😀 Never stop writing, looking forward to more of your prose!
[…] My nominations! *Yeah, I’m using this again. […]
